Lonnie Abbott, 64, of Echols, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home. He was born Oct. 22, 1950, in Echols to the late Lester and Dorothy Geary Abbott.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Pond Run Baptist Church and worked as a laborer at TVA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Abbott.
Survivors include his children, Stacie Abbott-Burgess, of Hartford, Dwayne Abbott, of Beaver Dam, Robin (Marcos) Morin, of Dracut, Mass., and Ashley Abbott-Roberts, of Beaver Dam; three brothers, Winston (Delois) Abbott, of Cromwell, Paul (Jewell) Abbott, of Beaver Dam, and Calvin (Theresa) Abbott, of Beaver Dam; one sister, Alice (Bobby) Henon, of Shepherdsville; six grandchildren, Faith Burgess, Corey Phelps, Zoey Abbott, Hailey Morin, Lucas Royal and Blake Roberts, and one grandchild on the way.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
