Alice Faye Spurlock Manasco, 66, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. She was born Aug. 3, 1948, in Harlan County, Ky., to Edmond and Mary Katherine “Kat” Spurlock.
She attended Rockport Baptist Church in Rockport, Ky., and she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kat Spurlock; niece, Mindy Landrum; and brother-in-law, John Gatewood.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bobby Glen Manasco, of Beaver Dam; her father, Ed Spurlock, of Rockport, Ky.; one son, James Edmond “Brother” (Melanie) Manasco, of Hartford; one daughter, Bobbie Jo (Danny) Calloway, of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Emma Gatewood, of Beaver Dam, and Carol (Billy) Brown, of Rockport, Ky. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Kayla Calloway, Kendra Calloway, Kara Calloway, Kayden Manasco, Jay Manasco, and Tatum Manasco; one brother-in-law, Calvin (Janice) Manasco, of Beaver Dam; and one sister-in-law, Billie Jean Manasco, of Beaver Dam; niece, Kimberly (Troy) Farris; and nephews, Anthony (Christy) Manasco and Michael Manasco.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Charles Brownd officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery in Echols. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
