James Gabriel “Jim” Carson, 73, of Hartford, Ky., passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 27, 1941, in Hartford, Ky., to the late Joseph Duke Carson and Faye Felty Carson.
Mr. Carson retired from General Electric in Louisville, Ky., where he was a member of Local #761. He attended Hartford United Methodist Church and served in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Duke Carson, Jr.; and two sisters, Virginia Carson Statom and Mittie Anna Carson.
Survivors include one brother, John Simpson Carson (Rose Anne), of Beaver Dam; one sister, Florence Carson Smith (James), of Hartford, and several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Rev. Bob Clements officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Ky.
