Charles W. “Chuckie” Arnold, a.k.a. Clarence Willoughby, 61, of Hartford, passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1953, in Louisville to the late Edward Arnold and the late Mary Ollie Duvall Wright.
Chuckie was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War he loved serving his country. Chuckie enjoyed Kentucky Basketball, loved his family, and wrestling with his two grandsons. He was always happy, loved life, and he never met a stranger.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Arnold, nephew, Chad Arnold, maternal grandparents, Charles Troy and Orene Bailey Duvall, and paternal grandparents, Willie and Ethel Arnold.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann (Harold) Travillian, of Beaver Dam, and Sarah (Steve) Whitledge, of Bowling Green; five brothers, Bobby (Moody) Arnold, of Centertown, Eddie (Patti) Arnold, of Illinois, Gerry “Rip” (Sherry) Wright, of Beaver Dam, Terry (Lechia) Wright, and Jerry (Betty) Wright, both of Hartford; two sisters, Becky (Connie) Allen, of McHenry, and Joyce (Larry) Paris, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., stepfather, Charlie Wright, of Hartford. Chuckie was blessed with two grandchildren, Darrin Travillian and Waylon Travillian. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at William L. Danks Funeral Home, in Beaver Dam. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home with military honors by Wesley Phelps Honor Guard.
