Linda House, 74, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at her residence. She was born Sept. 22, 1940, in McHenry, Ky., to the late Robert Southard and Irene Baize Southard. She was a member of Independence Missionary Baptist Church near McHenry. She was a retired cook for Beaver Dam Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Southard and her husband, J.C. House, who passed away, April 23, 2013.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Baize Southard, of McHenry; one daughter, Paula (Rondal) Bishop, of McHenry; two brothers, Glenn Southard, of Beaver Dam, and Marvin Southard, of McHenry. Linda was blessed with four grandchildren, Jessica (Stephen) Wallace, Jay Dee (Jessica) Bishop, Jennifer (Lamjed) Tabbabi, and Jamaica (Michael) Tarrant and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Brent Howard and Rev. Jerry Toler officiating. Burial will be in Render Memorial Cemetery in McHenry. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
