MarlynONealMarlyn Y. O’Neal, 74, of Apple Creek, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Wooster Community Hospital following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 28, 1940, in Beaver Dam, Ky. to Irvin and Evelyn (Parks) Daniel.

She had been a Wooster and Apple Creek resident for most of her life and married her best friend and the love of her life, Gary G. O’Neal, in 1959. He survives.
She retired from the Rubbermaid Company in Wooster after 28 years of service. She was at her happiest and loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she was known as “Nanny”.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Tammy (Bill) Kirker, of Apple Creek, Sherry (Dan) Vizzo, of Wooster, Patrick (Donna) O’Neal, of Wooster, Ohio, and Todd (Stacy) O’Neal, of Apple Creek; eight grandchildren, Joshua and Rachel Vizzo, Megan and Drew Varner, Kaley and Jesse Ebert, Molly Kirker, Tyler, Chelsey, Spencer and Carly O’Neal; great-grandchildren, Vincent and Zachary Vizzo, Wyatt and Reid Varner, Emma Ebert; two brothers, Monty (Judy) Daniel, of Indiana, Terry (Debbie) Daniel, of Hartford, Ky., and a sister, Lana (Gary) Knecht, of Wooster; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster, Ohio, with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating followed by interment at Apple Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be an hour and a half (11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.) prior to services.
