Willie Mae Neighbors, 86, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born May 13, 1928, in Ohio County. She was a member of The Pentecostals of Owensboro and she worked as a housekeeper at Ohio County Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Neighbors; her mother, Mable Taylor; one son, Jerry Neighbors; one daughter, Linda Smith; and two grandchildren, Jessica Casey and William Neighbors.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Felty (Brad Black), of Owensboro, and Brenda (David) Griffith of Louisville, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Pastor Bill Huff officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
