Linda Whitehouse “Turtle” Madlem, 60, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her home. She was born May 27, 1954, in Ohio County to Frances Ray Martin Whitehouse and the late Benjamin Allan Whitehouse.
She was a member of Easton memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Bingo, collecting turtles and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Gregory Scott Madlem; one daughter, Melissa Whitehouse; one son, Derek Whitehouse, all of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Hannah Whitehouse, Isaiah Whitehouse, Matthew Cox and Alexi Cox; two brothers, Byron Whitehouse of Owensboro and Allen Whitehouse of San Antonio, Texas; and two sisters, Patricia Ann (Bud) Howard of Beaver Dam and Connie (Shelby) Adair of Owensboro.
Services will be 12 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bells Run Cemetery, Ohio County.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home.
