Kathleen C. Milam, 74, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Kathleen was born Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1939, in Butler County, Ky., to the late Cleat and Goldie Johnson Cardwell.
She attended Leonard Oak General Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Milam; one son, Vernon Milam Jr., and three brothers, J.C., Jim, and Jerry Cardwell.
Kathleen C. Milam is survived by her husband, Vernon Milam of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter, Kay Daugherty and husband Karlon of Beaver Dam, Ky.; three sons, Michael Milam and wife Penny of Morgantown, Ky., Eric Milam and wife Samantha of Morgantwon, Ky., and Josh Milam and wife Anna of Morgantown, Ky.; three brothers, Joy Cardwell and wife Faye of Morgantown, Ky., Chester Cardwell and wife Mildred of Morgantown, Ky., and Terry Cardwell and wife Sue of Beaver Dam, Ky.; sister, Maerene Mack and husband Scott of Illinois, 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Joy Cardwell officiating. Burial will be in the House Family Cemetery. Visitation Friday, May 30, will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
