MinnieTaylor2Minnie Pearl Taylor, 71, of Hartford, Ky., passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Ohio County Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1942, in Pleasant Ridge to the late Artis and Virgie Simmons Bell.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Beaver Dam Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She enjoyed watching old Western movies, making quilts and comforters, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Owen Taylor in 2000; two sisters, Alice Willis and Jamesetta Spencer; and four brothers, Oscar Acton, James, Harry, and Charles Bell.MinnieTaylor1Surviving are her sons, Dwaine (Jennifer) Jackson of Owensboro, and Andre Jackson of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Jessica Blake, Trevor Jackson, Brittany Dixon, Ashlynn Dixon, Kennedy Jackson, and Keile Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jillian Blake; a sister, Louvenia Richards of Chicago; a brother, Sylvester Bell of Chicago, and numerous nieces and nephews.Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.  Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaver Dam Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, P. O. Box 208, Hartford, KY  42347.
