Margaret “Alleen” McConnell, 87, of Beaver Dam, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Ohio County to the late Leonard and Marjorie Dowell Boone.
She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William L. “Bill” McConnell and one grandchild, Richard Anthony McConnell.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Judy) McConnell of Henderson, Ky., and Phillip (Connie) McConnell of Hartford; one brother, Paul Jackson “PJ” Boone of Beaver Dam. Alleen was blessed with three grandchildren, Tina (Kevin) Goldman, Jason (Coren) McConnell, and Meredith (Adam) Saalwaechter and five great-grandchildren, Marissa Goldman, Owen McConnell, Britley McConnell, Cooper McConnell, Ian Saalwaechter and one on the way. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m.until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
