Lola Frances Igleheart Shrull

LolaShrullLola Frances Igleheart Shrull,of Owensboro, went home to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning at Owensboro Health.  She was 87 years old. Lola was born in Livermore to Byren and Pauline Igleheart on March 15, 1927.

A graduate of Centertown High School, Lola was married to Claud Shrull on Feb. 1, 1947.  She retired from General Electric in Owensboro after 35 years of service.  A member of Buena Vista Baptist Church in Owensboro, Lola grew up in the church families of West Point Baptist Church and Centertown Baptist Church.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Claud; brother, Rex Igleheart, and sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Igleheart.

She is survived by her two beloved daughters, Claudia (Daryl) Smith of Louisville and Teresa (Jack) Sparks of Owensboro; her sister, Peggy (Homer) Geary of Brandenburg; five grandchildren: Mike (Carol) Smith, Michele (Greg) Wilson, and Nikki (Rob) Lawrence, all of Louisville, Jake (Julie) Sparks of Maryville, Tenn., and Zack (Sarah) Sparks of Owensboro; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, and Friday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  A funeral service will follow on Friday, April 18, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Walton Creek Cemetery near Centertown.

 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Oneida Baptist Institute in Oneida, Ky.  Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
