MaryAlmaCarterMary Alma Carter, 84, formerly of Owensboro, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her son’s home in Lexington, Ky. She was born on April 17, 1929, in Maceo, Ky., to the late Jim and Lelia Miller.

She was a realtor employed for 10 years with David Hocker and later was employed at Texas Gas for 12+ years. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Carter, on Aug. 7, 2012.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Pat English of Geneva, Ill.; her son, Stephen A. Clark of Lexington, Ky.; two grandchildren, Kevin Clark and Brian Clark both of Lexington; and two sisters, Ruth Hazelrigg of Owensboro and Helen Funk of Hartford, Ky.

Services are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 24, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 215 Ewing Road, Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
