Delois M. Burgess, 91, of Beaver Dam, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at her residence. She was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late William Mack and Anna M. Crowder Allen.
She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Beaver Dam and retired from General Electric in Owensboro.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Burgess, one brother, V. E. Allen, two sisters, Margaret Hecox and Anna Sparks.
Survivors include two sisters, Betty Lou Hunter of Louisville and Wanda Allen of Boise, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Jeff Evans officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
