Earl Ray Combs, 79, of Beaver Dam, died Wednesday Feb. 12, 2014, at the Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Hazard, Ky., to the late Herman and Ershel Smith Combs and was retired from Peabody Coal Ken Mine.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Combs; three sons, Alger (Linda) Combs, Earl (Sherry) Combs and Jack Combs; four daughters, Yvonne Embry, Linda (Mitchell) Maze, Donna Chinn (John) and Rhonda (Matt) Fulkerson; 10 grandchildren, Mark (Annie) Combs, Denise (Brent) Embry, Rick (Shellie) Combs, Jennifer Chinn, Melissa Maze, Erica (Andy) Roberts, Caleb Combs, Katie Ann Combs, Spencer Combs and Addison Combs; eight great, grandchildren, Abbie Barnes, Austin Peach, Warren Combs, Desi Peach, Breanna Embry, Isaac Combs, Brennan Embry and Olivia Combs.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Amos Alsman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery near Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home on Saturday.
