Donald Ray Myers, 57, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1956, in Hartford to the late Dewey and Stella (Midge) Myers.
He was a member of East Hartford Baptist Church, a truck driver and he loved spending time with his family, fishing and UK basketball. He served in the U.S. Army from 1976-1981 three years of which he was stationed in Germany. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Myers and a brother-in-law, Wally Hackbarth.
Survivors include his wife Terrie Jo Myers; his son, Lennie Midkiff and his wife Traci; two daughters, Anna Jo Renfrow and Husband Jamey and Felicia Myers; one brother, Fred Myers and his wife Teresa; two sisters, Mary Ann Casteel and Phyllis Hackbarth; seven grandchildren, Sheldon, Shane and Sierra Midkiff, Tara White and husband Michael, Cody Renfrow and wife Sarah, Dalton and Garrette Renfrow and a sister-in-law Grayford Myers and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Troy Richards officiating. Burial will be in McCord Cemetery near Rosine. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Monday at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed by Pfc. Wesley Phelps Ohio County Honor Guard.
