Otis Ray Bartlett, 69, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Ohio County on March 26, 1944, to the late Ernest Bartlett and Mable Davis Bartlett.
Mr. Bartlett retired as manager of Diamond Lake Resort and was a member of the Central Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Raymond and Charles E. Bartlett and eight sisters, Lena Elizabeth and Zelma Louise Bartlett, Ethel Rhoades, Mattie Shelton, Rita Darlene Morton, Bonnie Bennett, Ova Rhoades and Katherine Davis.
Surviving include two sons, Lyndel Ray Bartlett (Linda) of Louisville and Mark Anthony Bartlett (Angie) of Owensboro; one daughter, Debra Ann Bullington (Jeff) of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Tiffany Turner (Jonathan), Kaitlyn and Kendal Bartlett, Jessica and Jordan Bullington; two brothers, Kenneth and Roy Bartlett of Hartford, and three sisters, Ernestine Evans of Hartford, Lola Goodman of Owensboro and Cova Rogers of Flat Rock, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Richards officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Barnetts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hartford, Ky.
