Mary Ollie Duvall Wright, 85, of Hartford, Ky., died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Hopkins County, Ky., to the late Charles Troy Duvall and Orene Bailey Duvall.
Mary retired from Ohio County Hospital after twenty years of service. She loved playing the piano, her pets, laughing, shopping and watching her grandchildren playing sports. She also loved her annual trip to Brown County with her daughters and granddaughters.
Mary was preceded in death by one son, Larry Arnold; one grandson, Chad Arnold; one great-great granddaughter, Khloe Logdson and one brother, Bill Duvall.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Wright of Hartford; six sons, Gerry “Rip” Wright (Sherry) of Beaver Dam, Jerry Wright (Betty) of Hartford, Terry Wright (Lechia) of Hartford, Eddie Arnold (Patti) of Greenville, Bobby Arnold (Moody) of Centertown and Chuckie Arnold of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Joyce Paris (Larry) of Mr. Vernon, Ind., and Becky Allen (Connie) of McHenry; 14 grandchildren, Tim Paris (Shelly), Shannon Paris, Jason Arnold (Shelly), Kim Smith (Eddie), Adam Wright (Mandy), Beau Wright (Ashley), Kammie Keenan (Eddie), Angie Leach (Jamie), Starla Calloway (Andy), Amy Riley (James), Mary Ann Travillian (Harold), Sarah Arnold, Josh Wright (Amanda), Stephanie Cravens (James) and a granddaughter-in-law, Casey Arnold; 31 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Kentucky with Sister Betty Shaver officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Ky.
