Ernestine Clark Davenport, 89, of Hartford passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Ohio County Hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Ohio County, Ky., to the late Sylvester Clark and Katie Belle Trogden Clark.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bible Baptist Church in Beaver Dam.
Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Tennyson Davenport on March 19, 1975.
Survivors include six nieces, Janice Travis (Jeff) of Grand Blanc, Mich., Anna Mae Jones (E.T.) of Olaton, Doris Bartlett (Ernest) of Philpot, Mildred Ford (Phillip) of Alvaton, Fay Means (Charlie) of Owensboro and Lola Goodall (Dwight) of Beaver Dam; six great-nieces, Kelly Wells (Ken) of Grand Blanc, Mich., Nona Nave of Clarksville, Ind., Charlotte Jones of Olaton, Anita Ford MacDonald (Joe) of Evan Mills, N.Y., Bridgett Humphrey of Murray and Melissa Goodall of Beaver Dam; 11 great-nephews, Mike Jones (Tonya) of Cromwell, Steve Jones (Melissa) of Olaton, Jeff Johnson of Owensboro, Shawn Johnson of Owensboro, Frankie Bartlett of Pleasant Ridge, Randy Ford (Pamela) of Morgantown, Todd Ford (Susan) of Bowling Green, Rodney Humphrey (Linda) of Masonville, Brent Humphrey of Owensboro, Darren Goodall of Owensboro and Garnel Eadred “Butch” Canary of Shepherdsville, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with Bro. Ed Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Ky.
