A Sebree, Ky. man was airlifted to Evansville with serious injuries after a wreck on New Year’s Day.

According to the Kentucky State Police, on Wednesday around 1;30 p.m., Blake Preston, 28, of Sebree, was traveling west on State Route 1245 in a 2007 Pontiac when he failed to negotiate a curve.  The right side of the vehicle dropped off the side of the road, and Preston overcorrected.  The vehicle then crossed the eastbound lane and exited the road on the south side of the highway, where it stuck a tree, and came to rest.

Preston was not wearing his seat belt and alcohol appears to be a contributing factor.  Preston was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, Ind., by PHI with serious injuries.

Assisting the KSP in the accident were the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, the McHenry Fire Department and the Ohio County EMS.
