ErnestRaymerErnest Evan Raymer, 84, of Beaver Dam, left this life to be with his Lord on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Ohio County Hospital. He was born April 17, 1929, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Bonnie Evan and Anna Laura Chinn Raymer.

He was a retired coal miner from Peabody Coal Company and was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lucian Raymer, Bon L. Raymer and Bonnie Raymer Jr. and one sister, Dimple Bowlds.

Survivors include his wife, Vina Raymer of Beaver Dam; two sons, Ricky Wade (Debbie) Raymer of Beaver Dam and Michael Evan (Charla) Raymer of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Debra Ann (Ed) Gillim of Owensboro and Pamela Kay Raymer of Beaver Dam; four brothers, Charles (Joan) Raymer of Hartford, Russell Raymer of Hartford, Jack (Doris) Raymer of Hartford and Harold (Monty) Raymer of Lawrenceville, Ga.; four sisters, Deleana (Bill) Bibee of Bowling Green, Dolly Brown of Owensboro, Janie Quinn of Owensboro and Glenda Mattingly of Owensboro; nine grandchildren, Chanda (Matt) Hansen, Wade (Jacqueline) Raymer, Eddie Lee Gillim, Emily Raymer, Billy Gillim, Evan (Jessica) Raymer, Dr. Rex Gillim, Megan (Justin) Oliver and Hannah Raymer and nine great-grandchildren, Carlie and Emma Hansen, Parker and Scarlett Gillim, Addyson and Treyson Raymer, Miley Oliver, Kasen Shown and Atticus Raymer.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, at William L. Danks Funeral Home with J.F. Dancer officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednsday, 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
