Mildred Jean Crowe, 85, of Beaver Dam, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at her home. She was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Holmes County, Ohio, to the late Howard Russell and Blendina Everheart Patterson.
She owned and operated Mildred’s Beauty Shop for over 50 years, was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and Grace Chapter #37 OES.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jouette Crowe; her sister, Margaret Van Sickle; her brother, William Patterson and her great-great grandson, Parker Harrison Scott Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Harrison (Wanda) Crowe of Madisonville and Christopher Morton (Cindy) Crowe of Bowling Green; her daughter, Sheila McPeek of Beaver Dam; one brother, Howard Russell Patterson Jr. of Hanoverton, Ohio, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Dr. Glenn Armstrong and Rev. Jay Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
