MickeyRooneyPaytonMickey Rooney Payton, 69, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  He was born in the Midway Community of Ohio County on Dec. 26, 1943.

Mickey was an avid sportsman and had worked at Yager Material in Owensboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Flossie Heflin Snodgrass.

Survivors include his wife Opal Wright Payton; one son, John Schroader of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Doris (Roy) Inhulsen of Centertown and Amy (Jason) Bolin of Rosine; two grandchildren, Ashlynn Bolin and Cody Schroader and one brother, Glindale (Charlotte) Snodgrass of Horse Branch.

Funeral services will be held at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam Monday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m..  Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery near Centertown.  Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
