Jean Casebier, 85, of Crestwood, Ky., passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013. She was born May 21, 1928, in Hartford, Ky., to the late Forrest Casebier and Lois Taylor Casebier.
She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and will be fondly remembered as a person who put others before herself, especially her family and friends. Jean lived a full and rewarding life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was not only dedicated to her daughter, son and grandchildren but everyone she encountered throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Casebier, Sr., and one brother, Frank Casebier.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Lynn “Ginny” Bock (Eric); one son, William W. Casebier, Jr. (Ann); five grandchildren, Rachel Huang (John), Ashley Casebier, Amy Casebier, Ryan Staude, and Marissa Staude.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. CDT at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Ky., on Friday, Nov. 8, with Bro. Wendell Romans officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home.
