RobertKellyDurhamRobert  Kelly (Bob) Durham, 78, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Professional Care Health & Rehab in Hartford after a short illness.

Bob was a member of Smallhous Baptist Church and Centertown Methodist Church where he attended.  He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge where he served as Deputy Grand Master in 1968-69, and was a Kentucky  Colonel.  Bob retired after a long career as an engineer with CSX Railroad and several years as sales manager for Royal Crown Cola in Beaver Dam.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his dog Casey, gardening both vegetables and flowers and working in his yard.  Until recent years he always loved decorating his home and yard with extensive lighted Christmas displays for others to enjoy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kelly and Essie Durham and his wife Beverly Seaton Durham.

He is survived by his wife Vale Rhea Maddox Durham; two sons Terry (Mary Beth) and Jeff (Rhonda) Durham both of Owensboro; one brother Jerry (Nada) Durham and one sister Beverly Ward both of Bowling Green; grandchildren Clay (Lisa) Durham, Rob Durham and Bethanie Durham, all of Owensboro, Jeffrey (Barcley) Durham of Centertown and Mary Chris (Chris) Richard of Wisconsin.  Three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, at 1 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
