JackieBolingDoris (Jackie) Brashear Boling, 84, of Hartford, died Sunday May 19, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family after a day of fellowship and prayers. Mrs. Boling was born Feb. 5, 1929, in McLean County to the late Alfred Johnson Brashear and Eula Vance Brashear.

She was a Homemaker, member and Sunday School Teacher of Hartford United Methodist Church and formerly at Hartford Baptist Church, Fort Hartford Chapter of the D.A.R and the Ohio County Historical Society.

She also enjoyed her time as a Cub Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by a stepson, J.T. Boling, Jr. and two sisters, Mildred Day Blackburn and Christine Carver.

Survivors include her husband, J.T. Boling, Sr. of Hartford; one son, Damon Snyder and his wife Janet of Lexington, Ky.; one daughter, Holly Reneer and her husband Rex of Hartford; one grandson, Dr. Dexter Reneer and his wife Dr. Mary Catherine Reneer of Lexington; one great-grandchild, Catherine Reneer and two stepsons, Mark Boling of Danville, Ill., and Charles Boling and his wife Lori of Hartford; a daughter-in-law, Karen Boling of Hartford; one sister, Jane Jordan and her husband Art of Lewisport, Ky., and other step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Shannon Kirtley (Michael), Brock, Jack, Caroline and Ike Kirtley, Melissa Boling, Abbey Faucett (Eric), Andrea Boling, Caidyn Boling, Jared Boling, Jayton Boling, Chris Boling, Emmy Boling and Adam Boling.

She will be remembered for her gracious and giving spirit, that special smile and sparkle in her eyes and for her love of God and family.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Rev. Bob Clements and Rev. Wesley O. Hanson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
