Alma McDonald, 91, of Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab Center, died Saturday, April 13, 2013. She was born Jan. 28, 1922, in Salyersville, Ky., to the late Carl M. Adams and Vauda Penix Adams.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman T. McDonald in 1977; one brother, Carl Adams, Jr., and one sister, Norma Lea Adams.
Survivors include one son, Craig (Kathy) McDonald of Hartford; two grandchildren, Stephanie Cotton of Calhoun and Sarah Flener of Hartford; four great-grandchildren, Kailee Colburn, Logan McDonald, Kathryn McDonald and William Cotton; three brothers, Morris (Hettie Pearl) Adams of Owensboro, Roger (Mary Ann) Adams of Owensboro and Jack Adams of Maceo; three sisters, Una Mae Adams of Hopkinsville, Della Crabtree of Phoenix, Ariz., and Irene Parr of Birmingham, Ala., and a special thanks to the staff of Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab Center.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. Scott Fleener officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro.
