Kenneth Raymond “K. R.” Johnston, 94, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Dogwood Retreat in Hartford. He was born on June 2, 1918, son of the late Jess R. and Dorothy Marie White Johnston in the Olaton Community of Ohio County.
Kenneth was a farmer all of his life. He also was a carpenter. Kenneth was a member of Olaton Baptist Church and also was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Imogene Johnston and daughter Sue Stanley.
Survivors include two daughters Eloise Dennison of Fordsville and Wilma Noffsinger of Greenville, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
