
He was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ in Fordsville and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed collecting antique tools and fishing.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 27 years, Geraldine York Shepherd; step-daughter, Vicky Boling and brother, Douglas Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Maiden Shepherd of Dundee; three daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Calloway of Hartford, Pamela (Danny) Calloway of Beaver Dam and Tia Shepherd of Cumberland, Ky.; two sons, Bryan (April) Shepherd of Beaver Dam and Kenny (Cindy) Shepherd of Centertown; three step-daughters, Paulette Roberts of Beaver Dam, Tricia (Steve) Hawkins of Owensboro and Sheila Farmer of Hartford; two sisters, Louise (Johnny) Styles of Rutherfordton, N.C., Carolyn (Eddie) Harris of Black Mountain, N.C.; three brothers, Harold (Linda) Shepherd of Rutherfordton, N.C., Louis Shepherd of Horse Branch and Steve Shepherd of Rutherfordton, N.C.; one sister-in-law, Gail Shepherd of Spartanburg, S.C., 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Friendship Church of Christ in Fordsville. William L. Danks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
