JeanAshby1Margaret Imogene “Jean” Ashby, 87, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born June 3, 1925, in Sturgis, Ky., to the late Carlie Hinton and Lillian Dilback Logan.

She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlie Hinton Logan and Lillian Dilback Logan; grandson, Jimmy Lee Ashby, Jr.; her sister, Beatrice Carolyn Tirey and her brother, Bobby Logan.

Survivors include four sons, Charles E. Ashby, Jr. of Beaver Dam, Jimmy L. Ashby JeanAshby2and wife Helen of Beaver Dam, William C. “Bill” Ashby of Beaver Dam and Lois Ashby of Owensboro and John T. Ashby and wife JoAnn of Hartford; one daughter, Cheryl Walden of Utica; one sister, Jo McMurray of Kingston, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren, Tiffany Curtis, Steven Walden, Trent Ashby, Nicole Robinson, Ashley Hamby, John David Ashby, Ashley Atherton, Jeremy Moore, Camisha Payton, Will Ashby, Suzy Ashby Mills, Matthew Ashby, Jeff Ashby, Bryan Bechtel and Jackie Rogers and 26 great grandchildren, Logan Hamby, Eli Hamby, Janie K. Walden, Zaiden Walden, Zandria Walden, Hayley Bullock, Mariah Robinson, Gage Ashby, Landon Moore, Briana Atherton, Reece Atherton, Mackenzie Rogers, Dylan Curtis and Derek Curtis, Cole Ashby, Jesse James Ashby, Lillian Ashby, Chloe Ashby, Jarrin Yvone Willoughby, Amelia Casey, Dalton Lee Bechtel, Gabriel Gayle Bechtel, Kirra Hawkins, Clayton Mersing, Dominic Hawkins and William Herman Bechtel.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Glenn Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
