RubyAnnGoodmanBurdenRuby Ann Goodman Burden died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. She was born on Nov. 17, 1932, to the late Willie Goodman and Susie Bell Ashby Goodman.

Mrs. Burden was a homemaker and a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Burden, on Nov. 18, 2006; three sons, Samuel R. Burden on April 19, 1981, Danny W. Burden on Oct. 11, 1988 and Albert L. Burden on Jan. 15, 2013; a granddaughter, Michelle Denise Burden on Oct. 25, 1975; three brothers, Albert Goodman, Johnnie Goodman and Joey Goodman and three sisters, Mary Bryan, Mayme Coy and Bessie Phelps.

Survivors include three sons, Ricky Burden (Nancy) of Beaver Dam, Ronnie Burden (Donna) of Hartford and Clifton Burden (Kathy) of Fordsville; five daughters, Betty Burden of Beaver Dam, Linda Embry (Lawrence) of Centertown, Kathy Maddox (Roger) of Beaver Dam, Mary Hunt of Beaver Dam and Tresa Phillips of Hartford; 42 grandchildren, three of which she raised, Anna Jones (Charles) of Hartford, Ruby Garner (Jeff) of Beaver Dam and Stephanie Baker of Rockport; 68 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie Goodman, Ira Goodman and Donnie Goodman all of Cromwell and two sisters, Pearl Goodman of Beaver Dam and Jessie Hoggard of Hartford.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. Troy Richards officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Snodgrass Cemetery in Butler County.
