ClydeMillerClyde H. Miller, 92, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Permon, Ky., to the late Duke and Mary Jane Hill Miller.

He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Hartford and a superintendent for Peabody Coal Company.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Miller and three sisters, Lettie Rutherford, Rachel Sutton, and Estil Hubbs.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Zona Owens Miller of Owensboro; two sons, Gary (Charlotte) Miller of Pleasant Ridge, Rondy Lee (Mary Lou) Miller of Vancleave, Miss., and one daughter, Phyllis (Jimmy) Greer of Beaver Dam; one sister, Hazel Sutton of Whitely County, Ky. Mr. Miller was blessed with six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Frank Benton officiating. Burial will Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
