WilliamBarnwellWilliam Thomas “Bill” Barnwell, 83, of Beaver Dam died Thursday Jan. 24, 2013, at his home.  He was born in Coiltown, Ky., to the late Lee Ora and Pauline Arivett Barnwell.

Bill was a Charter member at Peabody Coal Company Homestead Mine and retired from Martwick underground mine. He was a Sargeant in the U. S. Air Force, a member of Beaver Dam Chruch of Christ, enjoyed fishing, quail hunting, UK basketball and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Jones Barnwell.

Survivors include his son, William L. “Billy” (Cathy) Barnwell of Beaver Dam; two daughters, Debra (Mike) Boehmann of Pleasant Ridge and Alisa (Dennis) Coleman of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Taylor Coleman (Charlie) Orihuela, Lee Barnwell, Evan Barnwell, Alexis Coleman and Kirsten Barnwell; two great-grandchildren, Ryder Coleman and Noah Orihuela; three sisters, Mahalia Bradford of Lake Havisu City, Ariz., Joan Ashby of Madisonville and Bobbi (Lonnie) Todd of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Lowell Sallee officiating.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam with military honors being presented by the Pfc. Wesley Phelps Ohio County Honor Guard.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time on Monday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to bevilbrosfuneralhomes.com.
