John Herman Griffin, 66, of Beaver Dam, died Wednesday Sept. 5, 2012 at the Ohio County Hospital. He was born in Louisville, was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served in Vietnam and was a member of Hartford United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Denise Pressley Griffin; his parents, Robert Griffin and Francis Phillips Griffin Litton; grandparents, Herman and Emma Phillips and Robert and Ruby Griffin; a sister, Carol Sue Gordon and a brother, Dale Ray Griffin.
Survivors include four sisters, JoAnn (David) Stevenson of Beaver Dam, Mary Nickols of Bellingham, Wa., Sandra (Lisa) Griffin of Philadelphia, Pa., and Donna Griffin of Vandetta, Ky.; his step mother, Joan Griffin of Vandetta and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
