Vonnie Earl Johnson, 92, of Beaver Dam, passed away, Monday, August 20, 2012 at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehab. She was born March 19, 1920 in Woodbury, Kentucky to the late Porter and Eula White Barnett.
She was a member of the Homemakers Club and Slaty Creek Baptist Church in Prentiss and was a seamstress for Cowden Manufacturing Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Johnson, one daughter, Cathryn O’Neil and her parents, Porter Barnett and Eula White Barnett.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Johnson of Bedford, Indiana and James Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, James L. Barnett of Beaver Dam; one sister, Barbara Barnett of Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Rev. Pete Leach officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
