Russell Ray “Doc” Tooley

Russell Ray “Doc” Tooley, 69, of Centertown, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, Ind. He was born in Ohio County on September 3, 1942 son of the late Jess and Vada English Tooley.

Russell was a coal miner and had retired from Big Rivers Electric.  He was a member of  Centertown Masonic Lodge #714, was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Russell was preceded in death by his sister Betty Barrett.

Survivors include his wife Gerri Tooley; three daughters Gail (Brian) Embry, Tammy (Dicky) Stumbo and Amanda (Brian) Lee;  six grandchildren, Lauren, Dawson and Graham Embry, Cayden Stumbo, Brennen and Avery Lee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  Burial will follow in Waltons Creek Cemetery near Centertown.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
