Rex Igleheart, 77, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Owensboro Medical Health System.

He was born in the Matanzas community of Ohio County on June 30, 1934 son of the late B.F. and Pauline Render Igleheart.

Rex was a member of West Point Baptist Church,  had been a farmer all of his life and enjoyed  telling stories and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ann and son Jonathan Lee Igleheart.

Survivors include three sons, Dudley (Karen) Igleheart, Garry (Janie) Igleheart and Joel(Phyllis) Igleheart all of the Matanzas community; six grandchildren Chris (Jennifer)  Igleheart, Cori Igleheart, Chase McKeown, Allison Igleheart, Garret Igleheart and Jonathan Igleheart; five great-grandchildren; two sisters Lola Shrull of Owensboro and Peggy (Homer) Geary of Brandenburg, Ky., many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  Burial will follow in the Bell Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family request that expression of sympathy take the form of contributions to the following:  Bell Cemetery, Gideons International or West Point Baptist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
