Louise Porter Long, 76, of 114 McMurtry Street in Hartford, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Ohio County Hospital.  She formerly resided at 3819 State Route 62 East in Beaver Dam.  Mrs. Long was born in Ohio County on September 4, 1935 to the late Connie Porter and Wilma Daniel Porter.

She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Ohio County.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Long on April 4, 1996, an infant daughter, Carolyn Louise Long on November 9, 1953, and her brother, Jim Porter on October 15, 2011.

Surviving include three daughters, Debbie Forrest and her husband, Jeff, of Hartford; Melinda Pipes and her husband, Freddie, of Newburgh, Ind., and Dana Evans and her husband, Bruce, of Beaver Dam. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Brian Forrest and his wife, Amy; Leesa Johnson; Melea Segovia and her husband, Mario; Elise Pipes and Tyler Pipes; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at the Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Brownd officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Ohio County.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home.
