Mary Lee Hancock, 86, of Hartford, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Professional Care Health and Rehab Center in Hartford. She was born May 28, 1925, to Granville and Vada Sample Wakeland in Greenville, Ky.
Mary was a payroll clerk for Peabody Coal Company and a Deputy Clerk for the Ohio County Court Clerks Office and a member of Hartford Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin C. Hancock Jr., her parents, Granville and Vada Sample Wakeland and a sister, Jo Nell Davis.
Survivors include two sons, Ed (Sindy) Hancock of Beaver Dam and Timothy Hancock of Franklin, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Eddie and Jacob Hancock both of Beaver Dam and Benjie Hancock of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, March 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Ed Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
