Loray Ward Givens, 101, of Tullahoma, Tenn., passed away, Monday, March 5, 2012, at Life Care Center of Tullahoma. She was born July 20, 1910, in McHenry, Ky., to the late Chester and Lucy Ellis Ward. She was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church in Beaver Dam and she was a homemaker.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Conrad Givens, who passed away June 25, 1980. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Jean Kelly and Mary Alice Sandefur.
Survivors include one son, Gayle Givens of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Nancy Patton of Tullahoma; five grandchildren, Steve Givens, Mark Givens, Holly Locken, David Patton, and Sarah Jane Patton; six great-grandchildren, Erica Givens, Hayley Patton, Zoe Grace Patton, Jacob Prewitt, Peter Locken, and Rachel Patton and one nephew, James Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 9, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday.
