BEAVER DAM, Ky. – Thomas Gledhill, 81, of Beaver Dam, passed away May 17, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Toronto, Canada, to the late Edwin “Pops” and Janet Gledhill.

Thomas was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and Marion County Sheriff’s Dept. He served in the U.S. Army. He taught criminology for two years at Dunnellon High School in Florida. He was an avid outdoors enthusiast including hunting, fishing, golfing and watching all the grandchildren play sports.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Gledhill; and sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Harold Yates.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Donna Kaye Robbins Gledhill; son, Tom (Kathy Tichenor) Gledhill Jr.; daughter, Tammy Gledhill (Thad) Wilgus; grandchildren, Mercedez Wilgus, Thomas Justin “T.J.” (Abby) Gledhill, Kiah (Sydnee) Gledhill, Zach “Nut” Gledhill (Payton Foster); great-granddaughters, Ellie, Millie, Elaina, Lucy, and another blessing on the way.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 23, at 12 p.m. at Liberty Methodist Church. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the church. A private family burial will follow.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Stroke Research and Support.
