OLATON, Ky. — Terry Cleo Daniel, 78, of Olaton, passed away Oct. 6, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Dewey Cleo and Clois Oller Daniel.
Terry served in the U.S. Army. He was inducted on May 13, 1966. On July 18, 1967, his rank was Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1st OLC), Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Badge (Rfl).
After his return from service, he worked at Nestaway then drove for Majors Trucking. After that he farmed and ran a logging business. He enjoyed horseback riding, trap shooting and riding his side-by-side around the farm.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Edgar Lee and Evelyn Woolen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Martine Daniel; son, Terry C. Daniel II; brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Willie and Margie Woolen, Grover and Barbara Woolen; a niece, several nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Bro. Timmy Whitworth presiding. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Horse Branch, Kentucky, with the Honor Guard performing military rites.
