BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Peggy Lou Igleheart Geary, 85, of Bardstown, Kentucky, (formerly of Ohio County, Kentucky) died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Nicholasville Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.
Peggy was born in Matanzas, Kentucky, to the late Byren and Pauline (Render) Igleheart. She was the youngest of three children. Peggy enjoyed swimming, fishing and her grandchildren.
Peggy was a member of Wickland Baptist Church in Bardstown.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Geary; as well as her sister, Lola (Claud) Schrull; and brother, Rexford (Margret Ann) Igleheart.
Survivors include her two sons, Greg (Sharon) Geary and Kerry Dean (Brenda) Geary; as well as four grandchildren, Rachel (Tommy) Wietecha, Samantha (Drue) Oliver, Kerry N. (Laurie) Geary, and Deanne Geary; seven great-grandchildren, Zeke, Zoey, Max, Lizzie, Sawyer, Knox, and Robert; two step-grandchildren, Garrett, and Matthew; and three step-great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trinity and Silas.
Services will be held 12 p.m. CST Wednesday, Sept. 24, at New Assembly Church, 425 St. Rt. 1543, Hartford, KY 42347, with Bro. Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. CST Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025 and from 10 a.m. CST until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
