EVANSVILLE, Ky. — Shirley Ann Lindsey Haight, 79, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, with her family by her side at her home. She was born Feb. 1, 1946, in Lindseyville, Kentucky, to the late James Montgomery and Vastie Lamar Lindsey.
Shirley worked many years and retired as an apartment manager. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Newburgh, Indiana. Shirley enjoyed movies and playing board games with her grandchildren. She loved her family, especially her daughter and grandchildren.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dallas Lindsey, Carl Lindsey, and Charles Lindsey, and a sister, Clarsia Trupp.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 29 years, Donald Haight; daughter, Kelly (Peter) Christensen; grandchildren, Nolan White, Macie White, and Autumn Sinnott; brother, J.R. Lindsey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, with Rev. Don Lamar officiating. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Cromwell, Kentucky.
