BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Mable Marie Baker, 70, of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, at her home. She was born July 18, 1955, in Beaver Dam, to the late Willie D. “85” and Lue Ella Dixon Hunt.
Mrs. Baker retired from Perdue Farms and was a member of Barnes Chapel United Methodist Church.
To know her was to love her. She was a warm soul who loved God, her family dearly and music lastly. She stood on morals, work ethic and most importantly love. She carried a big heart with open arms, kind words and wisdom to all she encountered. Her memories and legacy will live on forever.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Winter Fendel; two brothers, William Hatchett and Willie Ray Hunt; and two nephews, Greg Hunt and James Simmons Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory, her husband of 51 years, Freddie Baker Sr.; children, Ernest Hunt, of Hartford, Kentucky, Angela (Herbert) Rone, of Beaver Dam, Freddie Baker Jr., of Beaver Dam, and Shawntae Baker, of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren, Shirlecia Hunt, Alyssia Baker, Tyler Sharp, Danica (Craig) Beery, Lucas Atherton, Denasia Baker, Adrian Baker, Autumn (Trenton) Shain, Erik Hunt, and Neciana Baker; several great-grandchildren siblings, Margie Rife, Phyllis Bruce, Rosie Green, Elizabeth (James) Simmons, Betty (Raymond) Gray, and Helena Hunt; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
