UTICA, Ky. – Debra K. Boehmann, 69, of Utica, passed away August 31, 2025, at Rock Castle Respiratory Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. She was born in Madisonville on May 5, 1956, to the late William and Juanita Jones Barnwell.
Debbie retired from the Ohio County Wellness Center where she served as Executive Director. She was an avid UK fan and President of the Court House Players. She was a Board Member for Beaver Dam Tourism, a member of the Ohio County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
Traveling was a passion of Debbie’s. She and her traveling group, the “Queens”, shared many fond adventures. She enjoyed planning and organizing events and was an amazing hostess. Debbie loved her family, who fondly referred to her as Grandma and DeDe, and she loved spending time with them.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 29 years, Mike Boehmann; son, Jason (Melissa) Boehmann; daughter, Melissa Miller; grandsons, Alex Miller, Brady Miller, Jacob Boehmann, Ethan (Cecily) Boehmann, and Nick Boehmann; granddaughter, Isabella Boehmann; brother, Billy (Cathy) Barnwell; sister, Alisa (Dennis) Coleman; nieces, Taylor (Charlie) Orihuela and Alexis (Kye) Dixon, Kirsten (Jordan) Hoff; nephews, Lee (Allison) Barnwell, and Evan (Taylor) Barnwell; great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryder Coleman, Noah Orihuela, Griffin Orihuela, Ariya Orihuela, Emory Dixon, Grayson Dixon, Felicity Barnwell, Adilind Barnwell, Brynna Barnwell, Declan Barnwell, Connor Barnwell, Claire Barnwell, Everett Hoff, and Warren Hoff.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, at 12 p.m. at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home with Lowell Sallee and Jerid Gunter officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, and again from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
