MORGANTOWN, Ky. — Tereesa L. Johnson Odle, 72, of Morgantown, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. She was born in Butler County, Kentucky, on Nov. 18, 1952.
Tereesa was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and a former apartment manager for government housing. She loved to sing at church and many singing benefits for friends and families, she also enjoyed community theatre.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Robert “Buster” Johnson and Susie Phelps Johnson Schaser; stepfather, Fred Schaser; niece, Holly Miller; great-nephews, Alex Foster and Matthew Morgan; and brother-in-law, Lee Phelps.
Tereesa is survived by her husband of 54 years, Douglas Odle, of Morgantown; son, Jonathan Odle, of Morgantown; Christie Findley, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Clay Odle, of Bowling Green, Colter, and Carsyn Findley, of Cromwell, Kentucky; sister, Brenda Phelps, of Morgantown, Terry Bewley, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will follow in the Grant Phelps Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 15, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
