**UPDATE** LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Weather Service in Louisville has extended a Heat Advisory for Ohio County and much of the surrounding area. A Heat Advisory will take effect at noon today, July 23, and remain in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23.
The NWS has now issued a Heat Advisory for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, and it will expire at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 24.
According to the NWS, today, the heat index values up to around 105 are expected tomorrow in portions of Indiana and north central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.
For the Heat Advisory on Thursday, heat index values up to 108 expected in portions of Indiana and north central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
