BEAVER DAM, Ky. — Michele Bell Carpenter left this earth on Tuesday morning, June 17, at the age of 91. Michele was born on the family farm in Whitesville, Kentucky, the youngest of three born to Frank and Laura Chrisler Bell.

Michele was in the last graduating class at Whitesville High and was the class’ Salutatorian. She was married for 61 years to her late husband, Francis M. Carpenter Jr, and raised two daughters in Beaver Dam.

She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Jennifer Martin; sister, Virginia Daniel; and brother, Hugh C. Bell.

Left with fond memories are her daughter, Terri Leigh Brown, of Calvert City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Rachel Leigh Brown, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Scott (Emily) Brown, of Benton, Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Evan Scott, Ryan Francis, and Mallory Jewel Brown of Benton; a sister-in-law, Nora C. Carpenter, of Hartford, Kentucky; niece, Ruth Conkright; and six nephews, Joey and David Carpenter, Dr. Larry and Ken (Susan) Daniel, Mark (Melba) Bell and Rob (Donna) Bell.

Hartford Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements on Saturday, June 21. Visitation will be from noon until funeral hour at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery Beaver Dam.
