ROCKPORT, Ky. — Dennis Ray Kassinger, 70, of Rockport, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1955, to the late Lonnie and Elizabeth Marie Durbin Kassinger of Hartford.
He is reunited with his late wife of 30 years, Layce Ann Lindsey Kassinger in heaven.
Dennis was a retired Iron Worker from Local 103 in Evansville. He loved arrowhead hunting, morel hunting, metal detecting, University of Kentucky basketball, playing spoons, and his family and friends. His greatest joy in life was his daughter, Emily June Kassinger. He loved to hear her play guitar and sing. He left this earth while Emily was singing his favorite song.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Autry; brother, Mark Kassinger; and brothers-in-law, Butch Autry and Buddy Pierce.
Those surviving him is his daughter, Emily June Kassinger, of Owensboro, Kentucky; sisters, Nancy Pierce, of Hartford, and Lisa (Butch) Pinson, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; brothers, Jeff (Sue) Kassinger, of Hartford, Harold Kassinger, of Livermore, Kentucky, Lonnie Kassinger, of Hartford, Bruce Kassinger, of Hartford, and Kent (Kay) Kassinger, of Beaver Dam; sister-in-law, Donna Kassinger; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial will be held on the family farm, Kassinger Lane, Hartford, KY 42347, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 12 p.m. Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate the life of Dennis.
